In Memory

Dinah Brown

Dinah Brown

1948 ~ 2013
Dinah Lee Brown passed away at home on Monday, July 29, 2013, just a couple weeks shy of her 65th birthday.
Dinah Lee was born on August 16, 1948, the beautiful and spirited third daughter of Irma Keele Brown and Jack J. Brown. She was fiercely independent, and always spoke her mind like those Keele women do. Dinah loved being outdoors and was always up for an adventure; she was even known to jump out of perfectly good airplanes. When she lived in Hawaii, the locals never believed she was a haole because of her beautiful olive skin, deep brown eyes and those lovely dark curls (which she selflessly cut off last year and donated to Locks of Love when her sister had cancer). She helped others through her work as a paralegal and a radiation therapist. Although her health wasn't always kind to her, she was young and energetic at heart. Her spunkiness earned her many friends and admirers, and we will miss her wit and intelligence.
She is survived by her loving sisters Shirley Faye Glines (Don) and Brenda Gordon (John), and many nieces and nephews, as well as her three Siamese cats. A special thank you to devoted cousin Dick Guthrie.
In accordance with Dinah's wishes, no funeral will be held, but friends and loved ones are invited to join us for a wake (please BYOB) on Saturday, August 10, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at 11107 S. Woodfield Road (1550 West), South Jordan, Utah. Let's raise a glass in memory of a dynamite woman!
