Scott Alan Taylor

Scott Alan Taylor, age 69, of Springdale, Utah, passed away on July 25, 2017 from brain cancer. He was born in June of 1948 to Weston and Florence Taylor in Provo, Utah where he spent his childhood. After the family moved to Salt Lake City, he graduated from Highland High in 1966. He attended U. of U. majoring in business administration. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy for 2 years serving on the battleship U.S.S. Oklahoma City primarily in Viet Nam.
After returning to the states, he met his life's partner, Donna, in S.L.C. They married in Feb of 1976, and he became father to her two children, Shelly and Denton. In 1977, they moved to Nampa, Idaho, where Scott worked with his brother, Craig. They formed a partnership in a used car and auto salvage business.
In 2004 Scott and Donna moved to Springdale, Utah anticipating retirement. Scott had many interests including camping, hiking, biking, fishing and golfing. He was an avid reader of history and proud of his wood working abilities. His favorite pastime was riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle with friends.
It has been said that Scott was a true gentleman; hard working by nature, but fun loving, generous and kind with a fantastic sense of humor. He will be missed by everyone that knew him. He will be honored by a celebration of his life in September.
