Judy Mayo (Welling)

Judy passed away peacefully on May 28, 2004, at Care Source in Salt Lake City, with her family at her side.She was all that her Father in Heaven had wanted her to be here on this earth, and it was her time to return to Him.

Judy was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, on May 11, 1948, to Vandora and Lena Jolley Mayo.She graduated from BYU.Judy then met and married Harold Bowring Welling in 1970; together they had and raised five daughters.She lived most of her life in Alpine, Utah, nestled at the foot of the mountains she dearly loved.She was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, and friend.Even in her greatest suffering, her concern always turned to those around her. She emulated a life of selfless sacrifice and all who knew her loved her sweet smile and quiet ways.She lived her life full of love for her daughters, who will miss her dearly.

She is survived by her loving parents, Vandora and Lena Mayo; brother, Ken (Cynthia) Mayo; five daughters: Angela (Devin) Bingham, Amber (Eric) Henderson, Tiffany (Adrian) Day, Kimberly (Cody) Haskell, and Janae Welling. She also leaves behind 11 grandchildren: Erica, Caitlin, Julianna, Isaac, Keara, Valerie, Aubree, Janelle, Nathan, Hailey, and Carter.

Funeral services for Judy will be held Tuesday, June 1, 2004, at 11 a.m., in the Alpine 4th Ward Chapel located at 910 South High Bench Road, Alpine, Utah. A viewing will be held on Tuesday morning, from 9:30-10:45 a.m., at the Alpine 4th Ward Chapel, prior to services. Interment for Judy will take place, immediately following her funeral service, at the Alpine City Cemetery, Alpine, Utah.

Funeral arrangements for Judy have been entrusted to the care and direction of Warenski Funeral Home, American Fork, Utah.

Judy was such a kind and friendly person. It looks like she took that gentle kindness with her into her adulthood. So sad to lose another great Highlander at such a young age. But she accomplished what was most important while here, and obviously blessed many! Sandi
