Eileen passed away on Thursday November 6, 2008 after a long struggle with cancer. Our loving mother, wife, sister, and friend was surrounded by her family when her spirit finally moved on. Eileen was preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Gretta McPhie, as well as her brother David. She is survived by her husband, Dale Perrenoud, her children, Debbie, Kris, Melissa, and Danny Barton, as well as Anna Nicole (Robert) DeMille, Jeanette (Willie) Gregory, and Chaz Perrenoud, her brother, Jerry (Kay) McPhie, and sister, Sheryl (Ken) Peters. Eileen was born in Salt Lake City, Utah. She earned her Bachelors Degree from the University of Utah in Elementary Education and later earned her Master’s Degree from Utah State University while being a single mother and working full-time as a teacher. She taught for twenty-three years up until the time she was diagnosed with cancer in early 2000. She was sealed in the Jordan River Temple to Dale Perrenoud on April 7, 2000, days before her surgery. She ran 7 marathons including St. George and Tucson. She started the tradition of the “Fun Run” at Westvale Elementary School where she taught 5th grade. She always found the humor in any situation; laughter was always a part of her life. Some of her favorite things were playing the piano, speaking German, traveling, coaching softball, playing with her cats, and always being involved in the lives of her children. The family would like to give special thanks to the nurses and staff at CNS Hospice Care. A viewing will be held on Monday, November 10, 2008, 7-9 PM at the Union Park Third Ward, 8060 S. 615 E.
