I knew Rob from childhood. He lived about half a block from me on Preston Street. He was a good and loyal friend. He always worked with determination at whatever task he was given. Having left Utah in 1974 with a lot on my plate, I was not able to stay in touch as much as I would have liked. He lost a battle to throat cancer and was surrounded by his family at the end. As an active Latter-day Saint he was prepared for the next phase of his life. He left behind a wife and (I think) two young boys, his parents, and a sister. Thanks to all in charge of this website for remembering him.
Rick! I so appreciate your comments on Robert! I searched for a copy of his obit, but to no avail. Your personal thoughts are so meaningful and it's great knowing of your close friendship with him. As they say, he is is a better place, no pain or worries; RIP our friend!
