I don't know why I thought of Bob today, but I wanted to share some memories of him while I can still remember. He lived about 5 doors east of me on 1700 South. I remember how kind and soft spoken he was. He would come down to my front yard and we would engage in some football matches. I remember one match that we both got angry at each other over something silly. That was the only time i saw much emotion in him. As we grew up we saw less of each other. I remember when he got cancer. He appreciated connecting again for a little time. I have fond memories of our freindship. He may have not impacted a lot of people, but for me he was a gentle giant. I remember his younger sister as well and wish her well too.
