Scott Kenneth York

                                          1947 - 2024

 

We are saddened to announce the passing of Scott Kenneth York. Born November 17, 1947 to Grant and Ruth York. Scott passed peacefully at his home on September 25, 2024. 

In his youth, Scott played football and was All State linebacker. Scott knew how to live to the fullest and was loved by many. Scott had a huge heart and was the first person willing to help anyone in need.

Scott had a great career as a SLCPD officer and was general manager of many car dealerships.

Scott loved cooking for everyone. He loved gardening and being with his friends at the U of U tailgates. Scott loved his pets! Scott will continue to be the "Man of Steel" and protector in the afterlife. 

Scott is survived by his wife Kelly York, sons Shawn and Wade York, sisters Linda Jensen and Claudia Fife, grandson Ocean York, nieces and nephews, grand nieces and of course his lifelong friends.
