Just posted a favorite memory of Galen, from our senior year while we served together as officer's at the Seminary. This was the Park Pancake Party. I still struggle with the thoughts that my great friend, Galen, is gone from this life; what a dynamic friend, leader, husband, father, Dentist, and son of our Heavenly Father. I knew Galen from Jr. High through Highland, and he had this wit about him that could just crack us up, even in a serious planning meeting. However, in the same meeting, we never left without direction, a smile, and more of a bond than we had before it began. He was blessed with true talent that would bless many lives that he would touch. My continual best to Susan and Galen's family... Peace, brother.....

Galen was a kind, dear, friend. I have nothing but fond memories off Galen and thought about him when I saw others who reminded me of him.Jim Saley
Galen was always "Champ" to me. I was probably the only one that called him by that name. We became very dear friends as seniors and remained close over the years, in fact I think at least one of his dental rooms should have been called the Saley Memorial because of all the work he did on me. He loved so many of us he went to school with and we all probably thought we were his very best friend. He loved his Susan and his children and was such a great example to me of kindness and humor in all aspects of life. I love the photo that Marsha posted of all of the seminary officers at the big breakfast. You can see the smile and twinkle in his eye, he knew how to have fun. I will always cherish the memories of my dear friend Galen.

galen spent tens of hours on our 40th reunion. he was the audio-visual man. he had a LOT of talents. what a beautiful person, a man of quiet "class". it was a wondeful thing to get to know him so much better than before.
another one sorely missed.

Galen was the one who hunted me down in Virginia to inform me of our 40th reunion. Sad he's not on the team doing tjhe same for the 50th! Such a nice-nice guy! He's missed! Sandi

Galen and I played Little League Baseball at the same time but on different teams. One game when we played against each other we were opposing pitchers. Galen was very fast thrower but what made him intmidating was he was a little wild as well. The first time I came to bat Galen drilled me right in the backside. My second time up, same result. Now I was not a happy camper. So the next time Galen came to bat. He got drilled, guess where? That was the only time I ever hit any batter. We went to different Jr. High schools and we never did reconnect again to share that day.
