66-67 Freshman Year at the U. I felt totally lost in Chemistry.
1967 Worked at Grand Canyon North Rim, Summer, Night Clerk. Served as Counselor in Branch Presidency. An awesome summer! Family moved to Nev.
1967-70 Missionary in the Great Austrian Mission - Brent Child was one of my companions (prayed hard for that one). Dave Wetzel was also in the mission.
1970-72 BYU graduated in Psychology and Pre-med. Good times. Roomed with Brent Child & Larry Allred for a year.
1971 Married Laura Petersen from Houston. Best decision I have ever made! We met in Houston when I worked Summer '70 managed small Amusement.
1972-76 UofU Medical School- Busy life. Three fun kids born. Served in Branch Presidency. Jon Huntsman & Robert Raybould were Branch Presidents. Brent Child, Joe Perry, Tom Bauman, Hamer Reiser Highland and Med School classmates. School was hard but fun.
1976-77 Family Practice Internship at Navy Hospital in Pensacola, Florida. I was overwhelmed working over 100 hours per week and Elder's Quorum President for a while. Made the great decision to switch to Radiology.
1977-80 Residency in Diagnostic Radiology at the U. We lived near Highland High on Hollywood Ave. Sometimes had the kids sleep over Friday nights when I was on call. Son born. Served in Bishopric. It was super experience.
1980-83 Air Force in Dayton, Ohio. Two more sons born. Served on High Council. We had some great experiences and liked Dayton.
1983-85 Faculty of University of Iowa College of Medicine. Director of MRI for first magnet. We lived on 15 acres in farm country. Love Iowa people. Hated Iowa winters.
1985-2005 American Fork, Utah. Busy with 6 kids and Radiology practice at AF Hospital plus Beaver & Panguitch. Served as Bishop. Laura did American Fork Children's Choir. Lot's of lasting friendships. Kids go on missions and get married. Lot's of time on cal lfor the hospital.
2007-08 Served mission with Laura - Country Directors for Humanitarian in India. Lived in New Delhi, traveled country. Made great friends.
2005-Present. Live in Vivian Park, Provo Canyon dream home, beautiful surroundings. Joined Utah Radiology, large group covering many hospitals and clinics. No more on call! All images are digital and everything is voice-recognition not dictation to a secretary. Served as Branch President at the MTC, Provo Temple, HP Group leadership.
Love to bike, hike and snowshoe in the mountains!
